Insurance guide

Annual multi-trip travel insurance

Take three or more trips a year? One annual plan may cost less than buying a policy for each trip.

How it works

An annual plan covers every trip within 12 months, usually with a maximum length per trip (often 30, 45 or 90 days).

Who it suits

Frequent leisure travelers, business travelers and anyone who takes several short trips. It also means you're covered automatically, even on last-minute trips.

Watch for

Cancellation limits are often a fixed amount for the whole year or per trip, which may be too low for one expensive vacation. Check the per-trip day limit too.

Alternative

Long-stay travelers and digital nomads may prefer subscription-style plans that renew monthly.
