How Clearway makes money

Clearway is free to read. We pay for it through affiliate partnerships: when you click a link to a partner such as an insurance comparison site or a flight compensation service and then buy or file a claim, the partner may pay us a commission.

What that means for you

• You don't pay more. Prices are the same whether you use our link or go direct.
• Recommendations come first. We recommend what fits the situation, including telling you when you don't need to buy anything. A partner paying us does not change that.
• Links are labeled. Partner buttons carry a note that they are affiliate links, and they are marked for search engines as sponsored.

Who our partners may include

Insurance comparison sites and insurers (for example Squaremouth, InsureMyTrip, VisitorsCoverage, Insubuy, SafetyWing and World Nomads), flight compensation services (for example Compensair, through the Travelpayouts network), and money transfer services. Partner lists change over time.

What we are not

Clearway is not an insurer, agent or broker, and does not sell insurance. Any policy you buy is a contract between you and the insurer.
